Cancellations by operators

LuxuryTrainTickets.com is an authorised ticketing agent of journeys and therefore will not make any cancellations directly. Journey cancellations are very rare and are made directly by the operator. LuxuryTrainTickets.com will always inform customers of any cancellations as soon as possible and offer the appropriate refunds or alternative journeys.

No fees will be incurred should an operator cancel a journey.

Cancellation due to Covid-19

Should your journey be cancelled due to Coronavirus (Covid-19) by the operator, you will be entitled to either a refund, a choice of an alternative date for the same journey or credit to use towards any other journey.

All decisions are made by the operators and LuxuryTrainTickets.com will endeavour to contact customers as soon as possible to inform them if a journey has been cancelled.

Should you opt for a refund, your money should return to the account you paid with in around 10 working days, however this depends on when the operator releases their funds. LuxuryTrainTickets.com will keep all customers up to date in terms of the progress of their refunds.

No fees will be incurred should a journey be cancelled due to Covid-19.

Cancellations & amendments by the customer

Customers may make amendments to their journey or even cancel at any time, however there may be fees payable.

Operators may be required to add additional carriages or add additional journey dates based on demand and order the appropriate quantities of food and drink based on the number of passengers that book. Cancelling or amending your booking may incur a cost to the operator or result in empty seats or cabins on a journey resulting in lost potential earnings, which is why they charge a fee.

LuxuryTrainTickets.com cancellation fees

Cancellations for any journey regardless of notice will incur a fee of 5% of your total booking. This covers transactional fees payable by LuxuryTrainTickets.com as well as administration charges caused as the result of a cancellation. Cancellation requests must be given in writing by email.

This cancellation fee is payable on top of the operator's own individual fees as outlined below.

Northern Belle cancellation and amendment fees

Cancellation Fee (expressed as a % of total cost payable for the trip by the person(s) cancelling). Written notice (cancelling a confirmed booking) received before scheduled departure date.

We will apply any monies you have already paid to us towards settling any cancellation charge(s) (and to the extent your payments exceed the sum due, we will refund the balance).

No refunds will be given for passengers not travelling or for unused services.
