After a day’s tour and a relaxing evening, unwind in your very own private quarters, complete with en suite and more luxurious finishes.
Day 1 – Dublin:
Board the Grand Hibernian at Dublin Heuston Station where you are welcomed with your first lunch aboard. After some time relaxing on board, you disembark mid-afternoon for a visit to Fruitlawn, the private home of Arthur Shackleton, a famous Irish garden designer. Explore the enchanting garden with Arthur himself and discover the treasures and enchantments that lie within. Enjoy drinks in his home before rejoining the train. Later that evening, a delightful dinner is served followed by live Celtic entertainment in the Observation Car. That night, the train is stabled in Charleville.
Day 2 – Waterford:
After an exquisite breakfast, you arrive in Waterford where you are given an exclusive visit to the 19th century Salterbridge House. The owners welcome you with coffee before you are free to explore the exceptional five-acre gardens. After a short drive to Tourin House & Gardens, the home of the Jameson family or Irish whiskey, you are met by three Jameson sisters who share their knowledge of whiskey as well as gardening. Enjoy lunch with the sisters themselves before taking a tour of their beautiful grounds housing rare plants and trees. Returning to Cork early evening, you are given access to the Jameson Distillery where you learn how the whiskeys are made before enjoying a tasting. Return to the train for another exquisite dinner before musical entertainment from local musicians.
Day 3 – Killarney:
Today you take a short drive to Howardstown Racing Yard in County Limerick wbhere you will be met by legendary cross-country rider Enda Bolger. In her presence, you will hosted to his celebrated gallops to watch the horses in action as they work at the fences. Enjoy a drink with the trainer himself and learn about his life before a quick visit to Kilmallock Abbey. Rejoin the train at Mallow and over lunch journey towards Killarney. Here you will visit the wonderful Muckross estate where you will explore the arboretum, water gardens and blooming shrubs as well as everything else the beautiful grounds have to offer. Re-boarding the train later that day, you will be treated to an exquisite dinner.
Day 4 – Gort:
After a drive across the rocky terrain of Burren, you arrive at the Caher Bridge Garden, an award-winning gardner’s paradise. Join Carl Wright, owner of this glorious garden, for a tour of this beautiful landscape with it’s tamed wilderness and ponds. Lunch is served at the Monks restaurant overlooking the edge of the ocean in Ballyvaughan where you will savor some authentic Irish cuisine. Your final visit it to Woodville Walled Garden located in Galway. A floral oasis with beautiful plants and trees, you enjoy a tour before farewell drinks and canapes before returning to the train for your final delicious dinner.
Day 5 – Dublin:
The final morning, the train makes its way back to Dublin. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing at Dublin Heuston Station where your journey concludes.

PLEASE NOTE: Receiving receipt of payment is not confirmation that your booking has been successful. We will contact you one to 10 working days after you have paid to confirm your booking, take further details of those travelling and send your itinerary. In the rare instance your booking cannot be fulfilled for any reason, such as the operator cancelling a journey or anything else beyond our control, we will be in touch with alternative options or will refund your payment.
All prices shown are for one adult ticket. Sleeper journeys are based on two adults sharing accommodation. Single occupancy of cabins may incur additional charge.

As an authorised ticketing agent of luxury train journeys, we may need to pass some of your details (such as your name and dietary requirements) on to the train operators in order to complete your booking. This is done so the operators can add you to their guest list, send you your tickets and ensure the meals served to you onboard meet your dietary requirements. By booking with LuxuryTrainTickets.com, you are agreeing that you allow such necessary details to be shared with the operators under the cause of legitimate interest. There are a limited number of private tables and cabin types onboard. While we keep our website updated regularly, there may be occasions when private tables or cabin types become fully booked meaning we are unable to fulfil your booking requirements. Should this be the case, we will contact you to discuss alternative options and refund any payments made.
We have the right to refuse the request of a deposit when a journey is scheduled to depart in less than 16 weeks. If you choose to book with a deposit you must pay the remaining balance in full 15 weeks before departure at the latest. Should you fail to pay the remaining balance 15 weeks prior to departure, you will forfeit your deposit and your booking. Deposits are accepted by request. Most journeys require a 25% deposit to secure a booking however some specialist journeys do require a 50% deposit. Please contact us for confirmation.
Tickets are sent electronically around 5 days before departure. You will not receive tickets or any form of 'gift pack' in the post. This is in an attempt to reduce paper use and do our part for the environment.
