Frequently Asked Questions

Le Grand Tour is much more than a typical train trip; it is an immersive 6-day experience created and directed by Puy du Fou, the world-renowned producer of extraordinary shows. Enjoy a captivating journey through France's finest treasures.

If you have a specific question not covered here, include it in your enquiry below, fill in the form below, and our team will be in touch.

What is the dress code on board?

For evening dinners aboard Le Grand Tour, elegant evening attire is required. Elegance is an important part of Le Grand Tour’s ethos. For gentlemen, tailored trousers, dress shirt, blazer, and formal shoes. For ladies, an evening/cocktail dress or a smart tailored suit or jumpsuit. Jeans and trainers are not permitted during dinner service. For excursions and daytime relaxation on board, smart casual is appropriate.

Does Le Grand Tour travel overnight?

To ensure a restful sleep for all guests, the train remains stationary overnight. By day, it continues the journey between stopovers, revealing breathtaking scenery along the way. On occasion, operational requirements may necessitate overnight travel.

Are children permitted on board?

Le Grand Tour allows children, though it is primarily designed for an adult audience. Many of the experiences offered—including cultural and heritage visits, as well as wine-related excursions—are not suited to younger guests. Please note that there are no children's menus or reduced rates. We recommend carefully reviewing the nature of the off-board excursions before travelling with young children. Our team is at your disposal to guide you and help determine whether the journey is suited to you.

Is there a doctor present on board?

There is no doctor on board. In the event of an emergency, every member of Le Grand Tour's staff is trained in first aid and able to provide initial care while waiting for emergency services.
