The official Northern Belle Christmas Lunch Menu has been announced and offers an exceptional selection of the finest festive cuisine. Inspired by the views from the train window and prepared by Head Chef Matthew Green, the Northern Belle Christmas Menu has been designed to offer the highest level of quality to compliment your journey. The provenance of the food served was an important aspect in creating the dishes and the courses present the freshest and finest ingredients sourced locally wherever possible.
Complimenting your dining further is the beverage menu that features an extensive collection of the finest wines, champagnes, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. The carriage stewards are always on hand to recommend the perfect accompaniment to your meal. Roulade of poached and smoked salmon with horseradish and lemon cream, pea shoot salad and caper berries
Intermediate
Pumpkin soup with toasted pumpkin seeds, spiced curry oil and rustic rolls
Main
Turkey and Gressingham duck ballotine, Cumbrian air-dried ham with chestnut stuffing and cranberries, puree of potato and parsnip, creamed leek and sprouts, braised red cabbage with a chicken and sage gravy
