Your adventure begins in Paris mid-afternoon, where a steward will greet you and escort you to your luxurious cabin. After settling into your sumptuous surroundings, prepare for an exquisite multiple-course dinner in the dining car, featuring some of the finest cuisine you will ever taste. Conclude your evening with a cocktail in the bar car, soaking in the ambient atmosphere before returning to your cabin, which your steward will have seamlessly transformed into a beautiful bedroom.
On the second day, the train arrives in Hungary. Upon reaching Budapest, you will transfer to a hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Day three begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a guided tour, lunch at a local restaurant, and a short cruise along the Danube. In the late afternoon, you will re-embark the train as it heads toward Romania.
The following morning, enjoy breakfast in your cabin before disembarking to visit the stunning Peles Castle. You will then rejoin the train for a brief journey to Bucharest. After a short tour of the city, you will be transferred to your hotel for a private dinner.
The fifth and final day sees you rejoin the train as it crosses into Bulgaria, making a brief stop in Varna for you to enjoy the view across the Black Sea. Savour a delicious lunch and a fine dinner before spending your last night aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. The journey concludes the following morning as you awake in Turkey, arriving in Istanbul.

Day 1 - Paris
Board the Belmond Venice Simplon-Orient-Express mid-afternoon at the Paris Gare de l’ Est. Be greeted by one of the stewards and shown to your own private accommodation, where you will sink into your sumptuous surroundings. Dinner is later served in one of the restaurant cars, after which you are free to recline in the bar car and listen to the resident pianist and enjoy your favourite beverage, before retiring to your cabin.
Day 2 - Budapest
Wake to beautiful European scenery as the train travels into Hungary. Continental breakfast is served in your cabin at a time to suit you, before lunch is taken in one of the exquisite dining cars. After some leisure time aboard the train, you will arrive in Budapest, where you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Budapest
After an exceptional breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be treated to a private guided tour of the city with lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a short cruise along the Danube. Later in the afternoon, you’ll rejoin the train and enjoy a beverage in the bar car before dinner as you travel into Romania.
Day 4 - Bucharest
After breakfast in your cabin, enjoy some leisure time aboard before making your way to the dining car for brunch, after which the train arrives at the mountain town of Sinaia. Here, you’ll leave the train for a visit to the beautiful Peles Castle. After your visit, rejoin the train for a short journey to Bucharest, where on arrival, you’ll enjoy a short tour as you transfer to your hotel. This evening, dinner will be enjoyed at a private venue in the city.
Day 5 - Bulgaria
Awake in your hotel for breakfast before rejoining the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express as you travel south into Bulgaria. During the afternoon, enjoy a brief stop to admire the view across the Black Sea in Varna. Enjoy a decadent lunch followed by a sumptuous dinner, as you spend your final night on board the train in your private accommodation.
Day 6 - Istanbul
Early morning, the train makes its way into Turkey and across the beautiful Thracian Plain as you enjoy breakfast. Enjoy a special Turkish-inspired lunch before the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express arrives in Istanbul.

PLEASE NOTE: Receiving receipt of payment is not confirmation that your booking has been successful. We will contact you one to 10 working days after you have paid to confirm your booking, take further details of those travelling and send your itinerary. In the rare instance your booking cannot be fulfilled for any reason, such as the operator cancelling a journey or anything else beyond our control, we will be in touch with alternative options or will refund your payment.
All prices shown are for one adult ticket. Sleeper journeys are based on two adults sharing accommodation. Single occupancy of cabins may incur additional charge.

As an authorised ticketing agent of luxury train journeys, we may need to pass some of your details (such as your name and dietary requirements) on to the train operators in order to complete your booking. This is done so the operators can add you to their guest list, send you your tickets and ensure the meals served to you onboard meet your dietary requirements. By booking with LuxuryTrainTickets.com, you are agreeing that you allow such necessary details to be shared with the operators under the cause of legitimate interest. There are a limited number of private tables and cabin types onboard. While we keep our website updated regularly, there may be occasions when private tables or cabin types become fully booked meaning we are unable to fulfil your booking requirements. Should this be the case, we will contact you to discuss alternative options and refund any payments made.
We have the right to refuse the request of a deposit when a journey is scheduled to depart in less than 16 weeks. If you choose to book with a deposit you must pay the remaining balance in full 15 weeks before departure at the latest. Should you fail to pay the remaining balance 15 weeks prior to departure, you will forfeit your deposit and your booking. Deposits are accepted by request. Most journeys require a 25% deposit to secure a booking however some specialist journeys do require a 50% deposit. Please contact us for confirmation.
Tickets are sent electronically around 5 days before departure. You will not receive tickets or any form of 'gift pack' in the post. This is in an attempt to reduce paper use and do our part for the environment.
