If you've ever dreamt of on Oriental Express journey in Bangkok, then this is a wonderful opportunity to make your dreams come true. A luxury train journey from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur that's filled with romance, luxury, culture and indulgence.
The Eastern & Oriental Express will commence this luxury train journey from Bangkok, you will be welcomed aboard this Orient Express train in style, you will be showed to your cabin by one of the stewards. Settle in, enjoy the luxurious surroundings of the Eastern & Oriental Express. Before too long you will head to one of the dining cars for a four-course fine dining dinner. Why not then head to the Bar Car for a drink or two before retiring to your cabin?
The morning of your second day on this Orient Express journey from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur you will have arrived in Kanchanaburi, you will enjoy your continental breakfast in your cabin before heading out for a day of adventure. There is choice of tours, either a Classic Kanchanaburi tour, which will take you to see the River Kwai Bridge and the Thai Burma Railway Museum. Alternatively, you could opt for the Tracks to Unseen Thailand tour, this more adventurous tour will take you biking past rice paddies and you will get the chance to stop off at a local farm, to learn about farming life. There is also a Local Flavours Tour, which will take you to visit the wet market and a rice noodle house, here you'll take a raft cruise and cooking course. After your tour, you will return back to the Oriental Express train for your lunch and dinner.
The third day of your Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur luxury train journey will have you travelling through the gorgeous landscapes of Malaysia. Enjoy breakfast in bed, whilst watching the gorgeous views pass by your window. There is plenty of time in the morning to relax, you will take brunch onboard before arriving in Kuala Lumpur. You will travel to a local village where you will have the chance to immerse yourself into the local way of life. in rural Malaysia, you will be welcomed warmly by the villagers with a traditional ceremony. You'll take a tour of a local rice paddy, where local refreshments will be on offer. If this doesn’t tickle your fancy, there is an alternative tour, which will see you track to the top of the hill of a local plantation. Here you will be able to enjoy some of the most remarkable views you've ever seen. Later in the afternoon you'll head back to re-join the Eastern & Oriental Express train for refreshing cocktails in an informal party, where the tinkling of the ivories can be heard.
