The Royal Scotsman is a luxury sleeper train operated by Belmond, offering multi-day journeys through the Scottish Highlands. Unlike day trip trains, the Royal Scotsman is a moving hotel, guests sleep on board in private cabins while the train travels through some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery, with off-train excursions included in the itinerary.
Journeys range from two to seven nights depending on the itinerary. Shorter two-night journeys cover a focused Highland route, while longer expeditions take in the far north, the west coast and the islands. Each journey includes a different combination of excursions, distillery visits and country estate experiences.
Your ticket includes all private cabin accommodation, all meals and drinks on board, and the excursions and visits listed in your specific journey's itinerary, which typically include distillery tours, Highland estate visits and wildlife experiences.
