Embark on a one-off exclusive journey on a luxury steam train journey hauled by locomotive no. 35028, Clan Line, a veteran of the Golden Arrow. Based at Dover and London in the 1950s, this magnificent locomotive was used in conjunction with the prestigious train.
This luxury train journey commences at London Victoria Station as you board British Pullman’s immaculate carriages. You will be welcomed aboard with a sparkling Bellini drinks reception, which will be followed by a delicious brunch. Absorb the fine detailing of your art deco carriage, as well as the steam engine ahead and the wonderful passing views of the British countryside.
The train will make a stop in the city of Canterbury, where you will be able to enjoy a guided walking tour of the famous medieval city, with its glorious cathedral. Alternatively, feel free to explore at leisure before making your own way back to Canterbury West Station.
After your time in Canterbury, you will re-join the train to head to Dover to link up with the traditional route of the Golden Arrow and your return journey to London. On your homebound journey, you will be served a delectable Golden Arrow-inspired three-course dinner, as you make the trip back to London Victoria.
Please note: Tables for 1 and 3 are extremely limited so please contact us before booking if you require a table for three or a table for one.
*Timings, routes and associated itineraries are subject to change, confirmed times will be displayed on your tickets
**Steam: Due to the fact that steam engines are of an antique nature, there is always a small risk of them failing. In this situation, Belmond will reserve the right to substitute the steam locomotive with a replacement. If, for any reason, they are unable to source a suitable alternative, guests will be given options on how to proceed by Belmond.
